We thank Thomas McCarthy for taking time out to pen this enlightening guest editorial. Poets constantly remind us of the power of the WORD. Lyricism is the symphony of the WORD. It is the pathfinder for all that is virtuous and true. Perhaps poets are here to pay our debts to this world. Thomas McCarthy graciously reminds us of our responsibility to members of the WORD – women poets. Much needs to be done but we have the WORD. Now all we need to do is to listen and follow the lyricism with respect and gratitude.
