Wasted Lives

by Mark Ulyseas

Why do we go to places of worship and follow a Faith when nothing really changes in our lives? Hatred, violence and the urge to purge appears all pervasive. Divinity has no part to play in this.

Some years ago one was confronted with daily images of people living from one fallacy to another; Truth being the bastard child of reality. No one believed it.  In fact truth has now become a delicacy that costs too much for one to savour. Blood stained hand outs made with contaminated beliefs have become the special of the day, sold to the rabble under the guise of a dream of eternal happiness. Nothing could be further from the truth. Nothing could be more distorted than regurgitated half truths.

Media is the pimp that peddles subjective truths wrapped in filigreed lexicon. It serves all self appointed gendarmes of ethics and helps perpetuate a fraud that has spread like a disease across the planet.

In the name of one brand of culture or another we decimate our ‘opponents’. Our beliefs are true and others are false. Our God/s is/are the Real Ones whilst others are scamsters. The litany goes on from dawn to dusk fuelled by delusion and puerile pageantry festooned with an endless stream of sanctimonious ceremonies followed closely by the writing of history by victors hell bent on creating a subjective reality.

The faithful march, each destroying the other. The faithful wear the garb of the beast that manipulates the great unwashed who are mindless mannequins sent to slaughter or to be slaughtered.

Wasted Lives is a tragedy that threatens the very existence of humanity in the cosmos.

…And this will continue because we have succumbed to our baser instincts.

I leave you now with a few words of wisdom from His Holiness, The Dalai Lama…

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.”

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om
