After being bombed back to the stone age by the Americans and then slaughtered like animals by the Pol Pot regime what was left was a destitute people. They ate whatever they could find as food was scarce. They had more guns and ammunition than food. So they killed and ate whatever they came across. Children would sell hand grenades on the street for a dollar.

Today the Khmer are a people struggling to catch up with the rest of the world.
These photographs are reflective of the culinary delights that the gentle hardworking Khmer folk have to offer the world.
