Under Charred Skies Great Sykes

Greta Sykes’ book Under Charred Skies follows the life of an idealistic and passionate young woman named Lene who is deeply involved in the cultural awakening of the arts and civil rights after the First World War when the fateful Nazi tyranny tears her life apart. This book shows how betrayal and desolation almost destroyed the love and solidarity enjoyed by the women at the time.
