Edward O’Dwyer is a writer of poetry and fiction from Limerick, Ireland. His most recent book, Cheat Sheets (Truth Serum Press, 2018), is a collection of 108 dark comedy flash fictions, and featured on The Lonely Crowd journal’s ‘Best Books of 2018’ list. Donal Ryan calls them “wicked little gems”, while Tanya Farrelly compares them with “Woody Allen at his best.” His third collection of poems from Salmon Poetry, Exquisite Prisons, is due in 2020, following The Rain on Cruise’s Street (2014), which was Highly Commended by the Forward Prizes, and Bad News, Good News, Bad News (2017), which contains the poem ‘The Whole History of Dancing’, winner of the Eigse Michael Hartnett Festival 2018 Prize for Best Original Poem. His work is nominated regularly for Forward, Pushcart and Best of the Web prizes. He is on Twitter at @EdwardODwyer2.
