There was once a girl called Kate
There was once a girl called Kate,
Who was always late,
She was late for the bus to school,
and went to the teachers office for breaking the rule.
Oh poor Kate!
If I could be a tree
If I could be a tree
I would
let flowers bloom on my branches
and bear sweet, ripe fruits
let children climb on me
and sit on my branches
be a shelter for picnics
with different kinds of food and sweet
be a place where birds can make nest
to give birth to little birds and hear them sing
I would
If I could be a tree
