Haiku by Barbara Anna Gaiardoni.
Haiku
mother’s day
a rose bud pure
Himalayan salt
nerves in tatters . . .
a madeleine moistened
in lavender tea
in tandem
scent of hay
and red dirt
summer feasts
forced to navigate
no luggage
flowers of violet
fragrance on the back
of her neck
falling star
it’s not the star
that I want
