Live Encounters ebooks published in May-June 2024
This is an endeavour to publish the works of poets, writers, academics, environmentalists, artists, foodies, photographers, playwrights, etc. in user friendly digital formats. It is a platform for them to showcase their profile and excerpts of some of their previously published work so as to engage with publishing houses, universities, think tanks, companies and others for paid work. Live Encounters Publishing is not focusing on ‘unpublished work’ but mainly promoting the profiles of artists. It goes without saying that Google will pick this up and soon we will see the individual digital books featuring on it. I have been approached by quite a few poets, writers etc. to provide such a service. However, due to serious financial constraints with Live Encounters Magazines, we cannot offer this service free of cost.

Once we receive upto ten books for publication, the individual uploads will appear here and the free version of issuu will be converted to a commercial one. In the meantime, the first few books will be uploaded onto the Live Encounters platform here https://issuu.com/liveencounters
So how does this work?
We will charge a fee of USD/Euro: 250 for designing and creating a digital book exclusively featuring your work, selected by you.
This will be uploaded onto the issuu platform. You will be given the link to the issue and a professional pdf in case you want to get print-outs. The link can be embedded on your website (see LE website), its user-friendly mobile version can be shared on watsapp and other social media platforms. A great way to promote your work!
The USD/Euro: 250 includes designing, creating a digital book and uploading, hosting it on issuu for a period of 12 months. After that, if you so wish, you may pay a small sum of USD/Euro: 50 for every additional year. The payment does not include funds transfer charges by Paypal /Western Union.
You will retain the exclusive copyright of the published digital book.
You choose what you would like to publish under your name.

Dear Mark, I hope this finds you well. It’s been some time since I’ve been in touch because for the past year I’ve been working on the poems for my new poetry collection. The manuscript for that is now with Arlen House who published my debut collection, so I am presently waiting for them to come back to me regarding a publication date. Meanwhile, I have also been working on a personal project about how dementia has affected my own family over the years. It has been very much a labour of love and is written in a mixed genre style that includes poems, short stories, photographs, diary entries etc. My aim is for it to be used by some dementia charities to promote an understanding of the impact of the disease on people’s lives. For that reason I think it is more suited to being published in a digital format, which is why I believe that what you are offering would be perfect for me. Emma Barone has kindly designed the most wonderful cover for the book which I’ve entitled ‘The Greying Wood of Trees’. So, would you like me to send you the finished manuscript and, if you’re happy to go ahead and publish, let me know about costs and I will happily send you on the payment .
