Expansion

This month’s mandala is based on the geometry of nine. Nine is the last conceptual Pythagorean number. The ancient mathematical philosophers called nine the ‘finishing post’ and ‘that which brings completion’.

The geometry is composed of three trinities – 3 x 3 = 9, and so the number nine represents the principles of the sacred trinity taken to its utmost expression. Nine was considered thrice sacred – representing perfection, balance and order. Nine being the final number depicts the highest attainment in any pursuit. . Nine is unsurpassable, the ultimate. After nine months we leave the womb, birthing into life beyond that which we have known before. Nine represents moving beyond the horizon, expanding our realities and our consciousness. Endings and beginnings. Everything and nothing.
