Midday, poem by Enda Coyle-Greene.
Midday
in the forest
a hunter’s shot
locates its echo-
mate amongst a flock
of reverbs snared by clouds
whose shadows swim
below the glazed midsummer
face of the lake
which seven swans skim:
some single,
all paired.
