WMDs – Evolution in the Revolution

WMDs

by Mark Ulyseas

The message is in the ether, so what can a nuclear missile do? Kill a million people? But who will press the button?

Meanwhile, a simply worded message can poison millions of minds with a click of the mouse.

Words are not what they used to be. Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Chernobyl and Fukushima all pale in comparison to what has now become paradoxically termed, Social Media.

How do we fight this insidious form of infiltration and occupation of minds?

Perhaps Orwell got it wrong. Maybe the State is not the State as we know it, but a State of mind of an individual.

An idea in a message is now split like an atom and exploded in people’s minds…the fallout can be seen and felt anywhere and everywhere.

Not too long ago Social Media was termed Weapon of Mass Distraction. Perhaps it is time to see it for what it really is…a weapon of mass destruction.

Has the evolution in the revolution begun…thus heralding the end of humanity as we know it – The Planet of the Apes?

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om
