I could tell he was about to enter the room by the urgency of the people who had just walked in. A handful of security service men scuttling in and looking around, rapidly assessing the “situation”, a video journalist walking backwards while glued to his subject ahead, and then a couple of well-dressed, official-looking types, faces almost expressionless with concentration. Then, in contrast, he casually strolled through the double doors of the large room, emanating a warm aura, taking the time to walk up and say hello to the small group of people milling around, and all the time, wearing a benevolent smile. The kind that said, “Anything is possible if you sit down and talk about it.” And that’s what he wants to do. Talk about a pressing issue that is on the other side of the world from his home.
